Terms of use
Last updated: 17 October 2026
Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Money Tracker Nigeria, which runs Money Tracker. By creating an account or using Money Tracker, you agree to them and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Money Tracker.
Who can use Money Tracker
You must be at least 18 and use Money Tracker for a real business or trade. If you use it for a business that isn't yours alone, you confirm you're allowed to act for that business.
Your account
- Keep your password private, and keep access to your email or Google account safe. Anyone who has your password, or can open that email or Google account, can sign in to Money Tracker as you.
- Tell us straight away at support@moneytracker.com.ng if you think someone else has used your account.
- Keep your business details, phone numbers and bank details accurate, since they appear on your invoices.
What Money Tracker does, and doesn't do
Money Tracker helps you make invoices, keep track of money customers owe you, record payments and prepare reminders.
- It doesn't move money. We don't take, hold or send payments. Customers pay you directly, and you record those payments yourself.
- It doesn't send messages for you. We open WhatsApp with a message ready; you decide whether to send it.
- It isn't professional advice. Money Tracker is not accounting, tax or legal advice. Check with a professional for those.
- Balances depend on what you enter. We calculate totals from the records you add, so please check them before you share an invoice or reminder.
Your records
Everything you add, including your business details, logo, customers, invoices and payments, stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only so we can provide Money Tracker to you, as described in our privacy policy.
You're responsible for what you add. Make sure it's accurate, that you're allowed to use your logo, and that you have a fair reason to keep your customers' details, such as a sale or service you provided them.
Contacting your customers
When you send invoices or reminders, you are the one contacting your customer, not us. Please:
- only contact people about money they genuinely owe you;
- keep messages polite and truthful, with no threats, insults or public shaming;
- stop contacting someone who has paid, or who asks you to stop and the debt is settled or disputed.
Things you must not do
- Use Money Tracker for fraud, fake invoices, or debts that don't exist.
- Harass, threaten or mislead anyone using messages prepared in the app.
- Upload anything illegal, or anything that belongs to someone else without permission.
- Try to break into, overload, copy or reverse-engineer Money Tracker, or access other people's accounts.
- Use bots or scripts to create accounts or collect data.
If you break these rules, we may suspend or close your account. Where it's fair and safe to, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix things.
A free service
Money Tracker is free to use. We work hard to keep it available and reliable, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted, for example during maintenance or network problems. We may add, change or remove features over time. If we remove something important, we'll tell you in advance where we can.
If we ever introduce paid features, we'll tell you clearly first. Nothing you use for free today will start costing you money without your agreement.
Partner offers
If you choose to receive partner offers, a partner's product (such as a bank account or loan) is provided by that partner under its own terms. We don't guarantee partner products, and any agreement you make is between you and the partner. We only share your details with a partner when you ask us to.
Our name and software
The Money Tracker name, logo, design and software belong to Money Tracker Nigeria. You may use the app as intended, but you may not copy, sell or rebrand it. Invoices you make are yours to use for your business.
Closing your account
You can delete your account at any time from your business profile. Export your records first if you want to keep a copy, because deletion can't be undone. We may close accounts that break these terms, as explained above, or that have been inactive for over 24 months, after warning you by email.
Our responsibility to you
We provide Money Tracker with reasonable care and skill. As far as the law allows:
- Money Tracker is provided "as is", and we don't promise it will suit every business need;
- we aren't responsible for money a customer fails to pay you, mistakes in records you entered, or losses caused by services we don't control, such as WhatsApp, email providers, or your internet connection;
- we aren't liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits or lost business opportunities.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Nigerian consumer protection law, or our responsibility for anything the law doesn't let us exclude, such as fraud or negligence that causes death or injury.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If you have a complaint, please email support@moneytracker.com.ng first and we'll try to sort it out within 30 days. If we can't, disputes will be handled by the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is important, we'll tell you in the app or by email at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using Money Tracker after that, you accept the new terms. If you don't agree, you can export your records and close your account.
